If you are interested in becoming a member of the NEMSC please contact one of the three NEMSC executive board members. To become a member of the NEMSC you have to fulfil to the following standards:
Basics
- The congress has to be international
- The congress has to be annual
- The congress had to have taken place at least during the last two years
- The congress takes place in a country which is a member of the Council of Europe
- The congress has the duration of at least two days
- The congress has a professional board of advisors with at least two professors
- The congress has to offer research opportunities to talented students (e.g. internships, scholarship, exchanges, etc)
- The congress offers travel assistance funds to talented students who will be active participants
- The congress has to have at least 100 active participants
Content
- The congress has to organise oral presentations by active participants
- The congress has to organise poster presentations by active participants
- The congress has to offer active participants resources on 'how to write a research paper', 'how to make a research poster' and 'how to make an oral presentation'
- The congress has to publish an abstract book with all abstracts of the congress
- The congress will offer key note lectures by internationally recognised speakers
Abstracts
- The abstract which will be accepted by the congress should at least contain an introduction, methods, results and conclusion
- The abstracts must be in Enghlish
- At least 25% of the submitted abstracts has to be rejected.
Workshops
- The congress has to organise workshops during the event for their participants. These workshops have to promote Medical Science among the participants and increase the quality of research done by European medical students
- The members of the congress OC have to attend workshops or summer schools organized by externals. These events are aiming on e.g. Leadership, Research Quality, Fundraising, Project Management, etc.
